Emily's Cache Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Racer57: Emily was 4 when she and I found my first geocache. She is now a college graduate. This was hidden in a guardrail. The guardrail is gone and new construction will start any day. So, it is time to retire this one.

Geocache Description:

Do not go to the posted coordinated. You will get wet and you will NOT find the cacher there. The cache is a small metal box - please bring your own pencil.

Something that really always takes every geocacher outside.

The general idea about getting involved with geocaching was to have an activity, outside, with my granddaughter Emily. I couldn’t exactly take her to the bars because she was a minor. Actually, I do not go to bars, so there is not even a kernel kernel of truth in the previous sentence. Having her with me enabled me to scout out new places to hike.

When her parents moved her to central Texas, it was a major inconvenience for me. She acted as my spy when I was looking under benches for those hard to find caches. When she got older, the told me she wanted to hide a cache in the Marshall Islands. I thought about how crazy that was. You would have go be a sea captain to even get there! She laughed when I told her we could not afford anything that expensive. She replied that we could just find a sea sargent – after all, it is a lower rank and therefore cheaper.
