This cache is dedicated to our late Syrian hamster, Rose. We used to call her Roo for short, hence the cache name.
Roo was our family pet, our 6 year old boy really wanted a hamster and when he picked her at the shop the first thing she did was squeal, she never stopped squealing until we got home and put her into her new home. We thought she was going to be a really difficult hamster but we couldn't have been more wrong, she was the most loving pet we'd ever had! She was genuinely happy to be around people and would wake up when we got home and stand on her back legs with her paws against the cage door until we let her out.
Sadly not everything can last forever and Roo passed away after a short battle, I'd be lying if I said we werent heart broken as a family.
This cache is our first, we've been caching on and off for a few years and wanted something to live on in memory of Roo. This cache is just that.
There's a trackable tag in the cache, please keep it moving and don't hold onto it too long :)
The cache is filled with plenty of things to take, but please remember to leave something of equal value in place. Most things have been put into little re-sealable bags, close them once your've swapped to keep the contents as dry as possible!
*Warning!* This cache involves crossing a small river and some steep banks which are difficult to get up and down in some places, please be careful and put yours and others safety first. You should be able to do this with good footwear. You can get within about 15-20 meters of this cache on a main pathway on a bike, but will have to get off and make your way down the bank on foot. Congratulations! First to Find: Flowerpot_man
