Geocache Description:




This church was built in 1878 on land given by Albermarle Cator. The building was financed by Francis Peek (of Peak Freen's biscuits fame) as he wanted it to be a memorial to his parents. The church is built in neo-Norman and perpendicular styles from Kentish ragstone.

Sadly much of the interior of the church was destroyed by an arson attack in 1993. It has been rebuilt within the exterior walls which survived. In place of the old apse is a meditation garden.
