C = valeur du 2ième mot
D = valeur du 3ième mot
E = valeur du 4ième mot
XXX = A+2B+C+2E & YYY = (C*D)+(C+D+E)-F/2
Saurez-vous trouver la « Belle » ?

This cache was created for the 9th birthday of our 4th grandchild : ALEXANDRE |
This is typical of places steeped in history : Langogne (in medieval Latin: Lingonia, in standardized Occitan script: Lengònha, which accurately reflects the local pronunciation close to "lingouogno") ... a thousand-year-old town founded in 998 with the establishment of its monastery, it has certainly had its share of stories in its past.
Here is one of them :
The legend of "the ferocious beet" begins as follows : "In the first days of June 1764, the first warning came: a cowherd returned to the village of Langogne, her bodice in tatters, her arms bloodied, her body covered in scratches after being defended by her oxen. On the 30th of the same month, fourteen-year-old Jeanne Boulet was killed in the village of Les Hubacs; she was the first official victim of the Beast ..." Over the course of two years, no fewer than 92 other people experienced varying fortunes in this affair.
Here's what Wikipedia says about it : The Beast of Gévaudan
… and the Langogne Tourist Office : The great history of Langogne
More recently, in June 2020, Joerpick recounted it in his own way by creating his cache GC8VREF.
I now invite you to discover a local landmark that travelers quickly spot upon disembarking from the trains.
You will first need to find the following values :
A = altitude in meters of Langogne station.
The station restaurant changed its name when the new owner arrived. What is its name ?
B = value of the first word of this name.
C = value of the second word.
D = value of the third word.
E = value of the fourth word.
On what date was Langogne station opened? (see the La Bruse cache nearby)
F = sum of the numbers that make up this date.
Then calculate the new coordinates where :
XXX = A+2B+C+2E & YYY = (C*D)+(C+D+E)-F/2
Will you be able to find the "Beauty" ?
