Car Rally Staging Point and Morning Tea Event Cache

• Location: Rotary Park, 36 Grant Street, Alexandra, Victoria.
  

• Individuals attending this event must comply with the Government Health requirements in place at the time.

• It is only 5 weeks until the big event in Whittlesea in November. This will be a great chance to gather for some morning tea and catch up with fellow cachers to discuss your strategies for the event. It is also an opportunity to ask any final questions you may have of the committee, or seek a further hint for that last niggling puzzle you are yet to solve. Most importantly, this will be the staging point and start of today's adventure filled car rally! (You don't have to participate in the Car Rally to join the morning tea)

• Hot water will be available, so bring along a mug if you'd like a coffee, tea or even a hot chocolate - with marshmallows!

Car Rally

• The car rally is a team adventure where you travel around in a vehicle, exploring the area. You are given a series of clues and information to help you navigate to key locations, whilst gathering answers, completing tasks, as well as challenges along the way. The aim is to make it to the rendezvous point with as many answers and tasks completed as possible.

• Importantly - THIS IS NOT A RACE! There are no prizes or points awarded for finishing first. The aim is to arrive safely at the final location, having enjoyed your journey.

• Further details regarding the rally will be available closer to the event, however start thinking about who you might team up with in your vehicle. Teams must have a minimum of two adults (1x Driver and 1x Navigator), however the bigger your team the more fun you are likely to have, and the more sets of eyes you have at your disposal.

• The distance travelled during the car rally is about 100kms in total, however you will make a number of stops to explore, so expect the Rally to take most of the afternoon, particularly if you stop for a cache or two along the way. There are plenty of spots to stop for lunch or a break along the journey. We will rendezvous at the final destination at 5pm in Bonnie Doon to tally up scores, and announce the winners. • The Alexandra Event 2017 - Fish GeoArt (AX17) is due to be archived. If you have not had a chance to collect your solved puzzles, this may be your last opportunity to find them, so consider staying in the area to collect them before or after the Car Rally. You may even be able to grab a couple during the day.
