| Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, the journey or location, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or "copy and paste" logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log. |
This cache is located down watery lane, known by locals for its name being quite literal. After even the slightest of rain, the stream would overflow and turn the dip in the road into a shallow ford. Recently, however, work has been taking place to prevent this.
The bridge overlooks the very picturesque, Mill Pond. The pond flows into the Longleat estate, through many more ponds along Lodge Road, before eventualy joining Half Mile Pond. Half Mile Pond is located beside Longleat House, and is the pond that the Jungle Cruise attraction sails on.
Accessibility
The cache is wheelchair and pushchair accessible. However, wheelchair users will require assistance to retrive the cache.

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast. There is a stats listing, so you can see how many Little Bridges you have found, you can find it here:- www.littlebridgesseries.co.uk . If you would like to add to the series, please contact Stan via the Little Bridges website with your caching name, name of your Little Bridge and the GC code and he will give you a number for your bridge. To qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches "Little Bridges # xxxx then the name" including spaces so it will get picked up and added to stats list.
This cache was originally placed and maintained by Jamie2791 from February 2023 - November 2023. The cache was adopted by Foresthare in November 2023.
