An unassuming early 1960's brick-built chapel, the last church to be built in the area. It looks more like a small community centre, but I am assured that it has been a church from the outset. Maps of the area show that the houses along Wilsthorpe Road were built before the second world war, but a vacant plot of land was left here. Oddly, the then boundary between Derby Borough and the Shardlow Rural District ran diagonally across the site - now all of Chaddesden is within Derby.
The church is well-used, not only for religious services, but also for community-based activities.

The cache itself is just a few metres from the church - there is no need to go onto church grounds (and the gates will be locked anyway except when the church is in use). This is a residential area, and you will be overlooked, but hopefully it should be a pretty quick find.
