Along with other stations, Beckenham Hill was opened on 1st July 1892 on the newly buiilt Catford Loop.
On 2nd February 1971 a petition to reinstate the station's porter, Yahaya Bahari, who was transferred to Blackfriars gained 1,000 signatures. You can read more about his incredible story on the link below:
