🇬🇧 In the 1980s, the provincial clinic in the Black Forest becomes the epicentre of medical and emotional dramas. The young Dr Udo Brinkmann does not only juggle with a scalpel, but also with the hearts of his female patients and colleagues. At the same time, Christa Mehnert transforms from the nurse of his heart into a medical colleague and the wife of his boss and father, Prof Klaus Brinkmann, MD. A web of passionate affairs that is denser than the Black Forest itself. Between surgical interventions, there is plenty of time for emotional operations in the relationship operating theatre.
This cache series (click here for an overview) will take you on a journey through time into the impetuous cosmos of love at the Black Forest Clinic, where fibrillation of the heart rarely has purely medical origins.
If you can't get on with the medical slush, you can simply enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the film locations at the time, without the Brinkmann family and the others in mind. It was important to the producers of the series at the time to show the Black Forest from its most scenic perspective.

🇬🇧 Peeling potatoes with Meister Eder
You are near the weekend lodge of the Brinkmann family. The cottage is within sight of the Black Forest Clinic on the opposite side of the valley and appears in various episodes, for example in "The Stranger in the Cabin" (from minute 13). There, Prof Brinkmann, wandering through the rain, meets the tramp Boris, played by Gustl Bayrhammer, also known as Meister Eder from the children's series Pumuckl. Boris gives Prof Brinkmann lessons on how to behave inconspicuously when spending the night in other people's premises. This also includes the skill of peeling potatoes, which Boris has to teach to the surgeon.
The cabin - it's more like a house to be precise - is privately owned. Please respect this and do not enter the property. The cache is located in the woods just before the pasturage. As the trails on OSM are incorrectly plotted up here, there are 2 waypoints for orientation. At the last fork (WP02), you can decide whether you first go right to the edge of the forest for the view of the cabin, or directly left towards the cache. Except for the last few metres, you do not have to leave the paved paths. Cars must stop at the park coordinates at the latest. From there, it is just under one kilometre with an elevation gain of 150 metres.
