7th November 2024 -- 18:30 - 19:30
This event is being held to celebrate the 17th Anniversary of the Church Micro Series.
The Church Micro series began on November 7th 2007 with the publication of Church Micro 1...Earlswood (GC17878) a Multi-cache set by sadexploration, who intended to place more and hoped others would join in - what he didn't expect is that it would expand to become the largest series of caches in the geocaching world with now over 17,000 caches (apt) published under the Church Micro name, and this is just in the UK, other countries have followed suit and there are similar series in Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Spain and Australia.
Church Micro Anniversary events began in 2017, the year of the 10th Anniversary and have been held ever since - They are held between the 3rd and 11th November each year though many on the 7th November itself (such as this one) - Events are being held up and down the country to celebrate the 17th Anniversary of this great series.
This event will be held near St Marys Church in Frittenden where there is a Church Micro cache hidden by CaptainNavi.
We have permission to use the car park of the village hall just over the road - I will be bringing the MH which serves as a nice base to have hot drinks and cake, so pop along to chat about all things geocaching, exchange of TB/coins - hopefully the rain will hold off, but if it does there should be enough room under the awning
However we will not be the only ones there so please indicate your intention to be there with a 'will attend' so we can keep an eye on the numbers (if you don't there may not be enough cake to go around !!)
So please come and join me, whether you have been to many events or this is your first, everyone is welcome.
