Are you MAD?

You may not realize it but the entire world has been living MAD for many decades. It's a small wonder we haven't gone MAD.  Refer to the plethora of images for this cache. 

Imagine the larger narrative that these surreal images invoke. The incomprehensibly destructive power revealed in the images compelled hardened men jaded by their experiences from two world wars to conjure up a strategy to avoid using them. The profound paradox here should make us reflect upon our humanity. 

Answer a simple but ominous question given the context, "What is MAD?"
