Signal the Frog
If you spend a bit of time geocaching, chances are you'll see a frog with an antenna attached to his head. This is Signal the Frog, the official Geocaching mascot.
Signal was created in the early days of Geocaching.com as a way to represent the combination of technology and nature. Since then, Signal has become beloved by the geocaching community and appears on geocaching-related gear, trackables—and even in-person at some Mega-Events. If you see him, make sure to give him a high-five and discover his tracking code.
If you'll notice, Signal isn't just a frog, he's a frog with an antenna attached to his head. We searched through the animal kingdom and we couldn't find any other antenna-enabled animals besides Signal, so the choice was easy.
Žabák Signal
Pokud trávíš hodně času Geocachingem, existuje relativně velká šance zahlédnout sympatického žabáka s anténou na hlavě. Jmenuje se Žabák Signál (Signal the Frog) a je oficiálním maskotem Geocachingu.
Signál se narodil v brzkých dobách, kdy Geocaching teprve vznikal. Ve svém duchu spojuje technologii a přírodu. Komunita hráčů si tohoto maskota oblíbila a od té doby se často objevuje na předmětech spojených s Geocachingem, trackovacích předmětech a často i jako živý maskot na Mega eventech. Pokud ho někde uvidíš, nezapomeň si opsat jeho trackovací číslo a zalogovat si tento jedinečný okamžik.
Určitě se nedá přehlédnout, že Signál není úplně obyčejný žabák. Na hlavě má totiž anténu. Pečlivě jsme zkoumali celou živočišnou říši a nenašli jsme žádné podobné zvíře, kterému taková anténka na hlavě vyrostla.
