Η Γέφυρα της Παλαιοκαρυάς είναι ένα από τα ομορφότερα πέτρινα γεφύρια της Ελλάδας, μέσα σε ένα τοπίο βγαλμένο από παραμύθι.
Δεσπόζει ανάμεσα από δύο καταρράκτες, στο Φαράγγι της Παλαιοκαρυάς.
Κατασκευάστηκε γύρω στο 1550 και συνέδεε την Πύλη και τα γύρω χωριά με την περιοχή του Ασπροποτάμου.
Πρόκειται για ένα μονότοξο πέτρινο γεφύρι με μήκος 26 μέτρα, ύψος 10 μέτρα και άνοιγμα τόξου 19 μέτρα.
ΣΗΜΕΙΩΣΗ: To Terrain-4.5 έγκειται στο γεγονός όχι τόσο για το έδαφος όσο ότι θα πρέπει να περάσετε επάνω από τη Γέφυρα για να βρεθείτε στην απέναντι πλευρά στο μονοπάτι ή θα πρέπει, αν το νερό είναι λίγο, να "βρέξετε τα πόδια σας"...!!!
The Bridge of Palaiokaria is one of the most beautiful stone bridges in Greece, set in a landscape straight out of a fairy tale.
It dominates between two waterfalls, in the Palaiokaria Gorge.
It was built around 1550 and connected Pyli and the surrounding villages with the Aspropotamos area.
It is a single-arch stone bridge with a length of 26 meters, a height of 10 meters and an arch span of 19 meters.
NOTE: Terrain-4.5 lies not so much in the terrain as in the fact that you will have to cross the Bridge to get to the other side of the path or you will have to, if the water is low, "wet your feet"...!!!
