Chief O'Brien Part 2 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

WGA2: I noticed that this cache has remained temporarily disabled for a period of time well in excess of the period of ‘a few weeks’ as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. For now, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact me at the below e-mail address when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past.

Thanks for your understanding,

Geocache Description:

Located in Waukesha County Park property. NO FEE. Same area as Chief O'Brien Energize, Toy Shop and Beautiful View. Mostly used for Horse riding and walking dogs. Watch your step!

This area appears to be farmland recently bought, donated or forfited to the county park system. The entrance is easily missed as there is no indication of it other than maybe noticing a sign in what is used as the parking lot. Please park there at N43'06.260 W088'16.190 This is on Hwy KF just north of the exit from Hwy 16 in Pewaukee. Traffic flys by at 55+ mph so be careful. The entrance is easy to miss. Chief O'Brien was the first cache to be located here. Since then, two other caches have popped up. The original cache was stolen. The previous caches just gave you a sample of what this park is. I wanted to develop a whiz-bang triangulation hunt but after spending two days and walking around six miles, I injured my knee. I wanted SOMETHING to come of this so I hobbled back, cane in hand, and hide a large prescription pill bottle. It is big enough to contain a notepad logbook and pencil. Small items can be traded. While the woods are bushwacking friendly, you can walk on a trail to within just a few feet of the cache. There are two benchmarks that I recommend visiting on your way. The first is at N43 06.300 W88 15.890. The second is 100 feet east. See if you can find both. These will give you a hint as to what you are in store for. WARNING! Lots of old fence wire is in the area. Be prepared to use the hint.
