This is a "resurrection" of a previous Church Micro - a similar but not identical hide, and not in the same location.
The Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady and St Thomas of Hereford is a 20th century construction, but it has a rather grand Gothic design, and was built on the site of an earlier Catholic mission church. The foundation stone was laid in 1921, but it took nine years before the core building was complete, being consecrated in 1930. The more visible sections of the church are faced with Darley Dale stone, but elsewhere cheaper brick construction was used.
The church, along with two other Catholic churches in the area, at Stapleford and Eastwood, form the parish of Our Lady and the Beauvale Martyrs.
As for the cache.... This is an incredibly busy location. The road is always full of traffic (often not moving very fast!), and there are also lots of pedestrians in the vicinity. There is a Pelican crossing just up the road - please use it. Depending on the time of day, you may be able to find on-street parking close by, but there is a pay-and-display car park within a short distance too.
You will need to pick your moment to grab the cache. But it is (or should be) an easy one, so it shouldn't be too difficult to be "stealthy".
