When word reached us that a grand Geocaching Letterbox Series had been placed across the Mid-Atlantic in honor of the Straw Hat Pirates, I was… intrigued. Acts of tribute are rare in this world, and rarer still when they come from those who understand the spirit of freedom that drives them. For that, we are grateful.
However, it seems the so-called World Government and their wretched descendants—the Celestial Dragons—could not resist inserting themselves into this venture. Their agents are already moving to claim the prize. Naturally, we could not allow that. So, I, Dragon took the liberty of... redirecting their efforts. You might say we revolutionized their Geocaching account—just enough to leave behind something for you.
If you’ve found your way here, then you’ve likely seen our mark on the map—the letter D. It’s no coincidence. That symbol stands for the Will of D, the flame that refuses to die no matter how many times the world tries to snuff it out. Each point of that “D” will bring you closer to understanding the ones who carry that will—and what they fight for.
My cache rests high above the water, bound to the limb of an old tree. To reach it, you’ll need to step beyond the safety of your vessel. Freedom—and truth—are rarely found by those who stay aboard. Central put-in is at Wooten's Landing
Southern put-in (but probably just put-out) is at Patuxent Wetlands Park
