Mindjagari Track - Mount Domain Loop
In the Ngunnawal / Ngunawal and Gundungurra languages 'Mindjagari' means 'Sky, clouds appear'.
The Canberra Bushwalking Club has partnered with the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve to create new hiking opportunities for the public. The Mindjagari Track (was Loki's Trail) has been recently developed with an October 2025 completion date.
This cache has been placed in the saddle between a Tidbinbilla Ridge peak (S 35° 27.524 E 148° 52.262) and Mount Domain to encourage hikers to complete the Mount Domain Loop. Once you reach GZ you are roughly midway so why not continue the loop to experience the changing landscape from one end to the other - different views, rocky outcrops, foliage and flowers. And, no bush bashing required!
The Mount Domain Loop is approx.14km with 1,000m ascent and will take 6 - 7 hours to complete depending on fitness. It includes navigating some steep rocky inclines. It is therefore essential to have good general fitness, sturdy hiking shoes, plenty of water and food and a PLB(Personal Locator Beacon). Given the rugged terrain it is recommended that you hike in a group. The loop will require a CAR SHUFFLE between carparks unless you are prepared to hike the additional 4.5km at the end of the day.

All trailhead and carpark waypoints have been included below. This may assist you to decided where you would like to start and end your hike. The loop can be completed from either end, or you can return the same way you came. The key access points in sequence are:
⭐️ Mountain Creek CARPARK
⭐️ Lyrebird Trail

⭐️ Snowy Corner Trail
⭐️ Mindjagari Track
