Geocache Description:

Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) is an environmental initiative supported by the geocaching community. Since 2002, CITO has enabled geocachers to beautify and restore natural and urban spaces. In that time, there have been more than 536,000 logged attendances at nearly 29,000 events where geocachers helped improve the outdoors.

Actions often speak louder than words. By participating in a CITO Event, whether by collecting trash, planting trees, or crafting new homes for pollinators, we make our world a better place. Each CITO we attend is a testament to care: care for others, our communities, and our planet.

CITO Events can be a safe, socially distant way to gather that adheres to your local laws and health guidance for outdoor activities. As with all outdoor activities, please follow the most current regulations from public health authorities.

Where: Moorfields Road, Ballymena. The given coordinates.

When: 10:30-11:30, Saturday 22 NOV 2025.

Why: To do a bit of good for the environment whilst also earning a cheeky souvenir for our efforts!

What to bring: Hi-Vis jacket. I will have refuse bags and some litter picks with me but feel free to bring your own. Dress for the November weather!

The Moorfields Road can be very busy but there is an unused lane at either side of the road which is where the litter pick will be taking place. For this reason, everyone should wear a hi-vis jacket and that being said it is probably not the best location for dogs and small children.

Best wishes, warmest regards!
