Number 1195 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.
The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.
The telephone kiosk is a Grade II listed building, achieving the status on 14 December 2010. It is listed mainly due to its close proximity to The Smithy, which is also a Grade II listed building. You won't fail to notice The Smithy with its intricate brickwork, which reflects the former use of the building. The telephone kiosk has recently been refurbished and is now home to a defibrillator. The post box is made by Machan Engineering and is the last type of this model of post box, being made from cast iron, before they were switched to sheet metal.
