Welcome to the Escalier du Calvaire!
Built at the end of the 18th century after the dismantling of Figeac's medieval city ramparts, this distinctive zigzag stone staircase connects the lower town with the heights above. At the top of the stairs stands the monumental Calvaire cross, erected in 1822 overlooking Rue Malleville.

Bienvenue à l'Escalier du Calvaire !
Construit à la fin du XVIIIe siècle suite au démantèlement des remparts médiévaux de Figeac, cet escalier en zigzag permet de rejoindre les hauteurs de la ville depuis la Rue Malleville. Tout au sommet se dresse le grand calvaire érigé en 1822.
