🎉 What’s Happening

🎅 Santa’s Grotto & Christmas Gifts

Come along and visit Santa at Cache & Craic III! Children can meet Santa, take festive photographs and enjoy a special Christmas moment.

🎁 Every child who visits Santa will receive a gift!

Would you like Santa to give your child a particular present you’ve bought for them? Parents are welcome to arrange this in advance by contacting us at cacheandcraic@gmail.com.

Please let us know as soon as possible, and no later than 30 November 2026, so we have time to organise everything. We’ll confirm how to get your present to us privately.

📱 Santa’s Stash Adventure Lab

Join Hamish the Haggis on a festive adventure! This Christmas-themed Adventure Lab features interactive stages and gadget-style elements as you help uncover the mystery of Santa’s missing stash.

Adventure Labs are location-based experiences that guide you through a series of stages, usually involving questions, discoveries or interactive challenges.

Whether you’re an experienced cacher or trying one for the first time, come and see if you can help Hamish save Christmas!

🛍️ Festive Vendor & Stall Area

Browse a variety of stalls, discover handmade items and gifts, and explore products from the geocaching world.

Whether you’re looking for Christmas presents, something unusual for a fellow cacher, or simply fancy a browse, come and see what’s on offer.

🧩 Trackable Discovery Zone

Bring along your trackables to discover, share, exchange or send onwards on new adventures.

Trackables are special items that travel from cache to cache with the help of geocachers. Discover their journeys, share your own stories and see where these travelling items have been.

It’s also a great opportunity to meet fellow cachers, exchange recommendations and catch up with friends from across the geocaching community.

🎨 Festive Competitions – Prizes for All Ages!

Get into the Christmas spirit and join in our festive competitions! There will be opportunities for both children and adults to take part, have some fun and win prizes.

More details about the competitions will be announced closer to the event, so keep an eye out for updates!

🎁 Tombola & Event Prizes

Try your luck at our festive tombola, with prizes to be won. It’s another chance to get involved and add a little extra excitement to your visit.

🎅 Festive Family Fun

Santa’s Stash is designed to be enjoyed by geocachers and families alike.

Alongside the main attractions, there will be Christmas-themed activities and opportunities to enjoy the festive atmosphere together.

Whether you’re bringing the family, meeting caching friends or making a weekend of it, we want you to feel welcome.

☕ Food & Refreshments

Take a break, enjoy some refreshments and spend time catching up with friends while soaking up the Christmas atmosphere.

❤️ A Little Christmas Kindness

Cache & Craic is supporting local Christmas initiatives through our selection box donation appeal. Donated chocolate selection boxes will help bring some extra Christmas cheer to children and families.

Any selection boxes remaining after the appeal will be split between the Newarthill Santa Run and Helping Hands Lanarkshire’s Christmas Gift Drive.

If you’d like to contribute, please get in touch at cacheandcraic@gmail.com.

We’d appreciate hearing from you as soon as possible, with donations arranged by 30 November 2026 to give us time to organise everything before Christmas.

Thank you to everyone helping us spread a little extra Christmas cheer!

🎉 Make a Weekend of It – Host a Side Event!

Cache & Craic isn’t just about the main event! We’d love to see geocachers organise their own side events around the weekend, helping make Santa’s Stash an even bigger geocaching gathering.

Whether it’s a casual geocaching meet-up, a meal with fellow cachers, a CITO (Cache In Trash Out) event, or something a little more unusual, we’d love to hear your ideas!

Interested in hosting a side event? Get in touch with the Cache & Craic team at cacheandcraic@gmail.com. Let us know your idea, proposed date and location, and we’ll be happy to help spread the word.

We’ll also be looking at opportunities to organise additional activities ourselves, so there’s plenty of potential for a full festive geocaching weekend!

Side events are a fantastic way to welcome visitors, meet other geocachers and explore more of the local area together.

Let’s make it a memorable weekend of geocaching, community spirit and Christmas craic!
