Geocache Description:

The cache is not located at the given coordinates. Solve the puzzle below to determine the location of the cache.

I promised to create a harder version of my GCBM761 Asterisks puzzle and decided this one might work well in a group solving session; so I'm offering it up for the Friday Livermore Puzzle Group. Previously having solved the earlier Asterisks puzzle will likely be useful in understanding the mechanics of this puzzle, which is more difficult than the original. Special thanks to fizzymagic for providing the hide and coordinates.

Notes: One of the words used in the puzzle is a little obscure and archaic, but was used by William Faulkner in The Sound and the Fury, New York: Vintage, published 1956, page 404. Puzzle still should be solvable, even if you don't know the word.
