About this cache: Cushman’s Compound
A.L. Cushman was the owner of Cushman’s Bakeries in New York. He fell in love with his summer home in the Town of Patterson and began acquiring property in the 1920’s. In the early ‘30s he hired local residents to clear bridle trails within his large holdings. He also had them dam a stream in the center of the property, creating 30 acre Wonder Lake.
This is a bonus cache on the way to the lake.
