Geocache Description:

This hide brings you to a peaceful crossing over Golden Brook, with some friendly local residents often watching nearby — including Jeremy the donkey 🫏

Please enjoy the surroundings responsibly. There’s no need to enter the water, any fields or disturb the animals to locate the cache.

The cache contains a logbook only, so please bring your own pen.

Paths may become muddy after wet weather, and the bridge can be slippery, so take care while searching.

Once found, please replace the cache carefully exactly as you found it so others can enjoy the hunt too.

Happy caching!

========================
Welcome to the Breaston Book Fairy Loop — or BBFL for short 📚🧚‍♀️

This circular series takes you on a walk of just over 4km around some of my favourite local spots for hiding books as part of the Book Fairies community. Along the route you’ll discover quiet footpaths, old canal routes, bridges, community spaces, and a few hidden corners of Breaston that deserve a little more appreciation.

The loop currently contains 8 caches, with mostly straightforward finds along the way.

The full route should take around 1 hour depending on your pace, the weather, and how long you spend searching.

🚗 Parking: Available near the first cache (BBLF#1) at the nearby pub, or on surrounding roads where appropriate and safe.

🐶 Dog walkers & cyclists 🚴🏻: Individual cache locations are dog friendly; however, the full circular route includes a handful of stiles which may not be easily accessible for dogs or bikes. Parts of the public footpath also pass through open fields containing livestock, so please keep dogs under close control throughout.

👣 A few notes before you begin.
• Please respect public footpaths, crops, wildlife, and nearby residents
• Some sections may become muddy after wet weather
• All caches are logbook only, so bring a pen (tweezers might be useful too)
• Please replace all caches carefully exactly as found
• Stealth may be needed in a few locations when Muggles are around 👀

Whether you’re here for the caches, the walk, or the love of books, I hope you enjoy exploring the route as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Happy caching — and keep an eye out… you never know where a Book Fairy may appear next ✨ #ibelieveinbookfairies

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then, the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast. There is a stats listing, so you can see how many Little Bridges you have found, you can find it here:Little Bridges Geocaching Series. If you would like to add to the series, please go to this site, on the tab Get Involved click number request and fill in the form. To qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xxxx then the name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to stats list.
