Wallingford #224 - The Fine Pair (Officially Known as A Fine Pair # 1899 ~ Wallingford)

The Wallingford Bridge telephone box is a classic red K6 kiosk located on the High Street, positioned right on the town-side approach to the historic bridge.

📍 Key Details & Features

• Location: It sits immediately adjacent to the bridge, near The Boat House and the beautiful riverside path.
• Current Usage: Unlike the repurposed community boxes in town, this kiosk is owned by BT and still operates as a functional public payphone. For safety and convenience, it accepts card payments and can be used for free emergency calls.

• Wallingford Bridge: It is a designated Grade II listed building, officially protected for its architectural significance since April 1988.
• St Peter's Church: Located just a few steps away, featuring a prominent spire that overlooks the Thames and the bridge.
• The Thames Path: A popular walking trail accessible right next to the kiosk, offering scenic views along the river.
