Welcome to Huangshan North Railway Station, the modern transportation gateway to one of China's most famous mountain regions.
Since opening in 2015, Huangshan North Station has transformed travel throughout southern Anhui. What was once a journey of six or seven hours from cities like Shanghai and Hangzhou can now be completed in just a fraction of the time. Today, nearly every visitor arriving by high-speed rail begins their Huangshan adventure here.
Designed with the theme "The New Charm of Ancient Huizhou – The Welcoming Guest Pine," the station combines modern engineering with traditional Huizhou architectural elements. The roofline reflects the jagged peaks of Huangshan, while decorative details are inspired by local stone carvings, pine trees, and the famous seas of clouds that surround the mountain.
The station has grown into one of the most important transportation hubs in southern Anhui. Five high-speed railway lines converge here, providing direct connections to cities including Shanghai, Hangzhou, Beijing, Hefei, Nanjing, Xiamen, Fuzhou, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. Unlike many major stations, almost every scheduled high-speed train stops here, making Huangshan North a true gateway to the region.
Outside the station you'll find a comprehensive transportation center offering buses to many of Anhui's most famous destinations, including:
