Welcome to Sister City Park
Named for the sister city program that has Pocatello Idaho 'twinned' with Iwamizawa Japan for cultural exchange and other fun connections. There used to be a long distance teamwork multi cache between this park and a similar park in Iwamizawa, though it was plagued with issues.
The park hosts a disc golf course working its way from the well manicured lawn above the pavillion of the posted coordinates for the first 9 holes, down to the valley where the last 9 holes wind through more challenging terrain. This CITO is set to be around dusk so the disc golfing crowd will largely have finished up for the day, allowing us to trash pick up without needing baseball catcher helmets.
The disc golf course remains open and if you see someone playing, stay out of their way just in case they don't see you.
Equipment and game plan
Trash bags and gloves will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you want. After a little meet, mingle, and overview at the start, we'll break out in little groups to do our best to cover the whole park. If we happen to find any large and unwieldly items that need special handling to remove, like some fly tipped mattress, or even something hazardous or recyclable, we are to bring them as best we can to the pavillion for proper handling by parks and recreation. The vast majority of trash will be collected in plastic bags and trash bags, then disposed of in the garbage bins at the park.

Refreshments
We'll have some bottles of water to help keep you hydrated and some light snacks at the end to say thank you for helping to give back to the community.
Cheers!
