Geocache Description:

A short and simple morning event celebrating SideTracked Day 2026. Cachers are gathering around the world to celebrate the 19th anniversary of this series. The event is in a park down the road from the St Marys Rail Station.

I'm planning to launch an Adventure Lab in the park directly prior to the event.

Event Details:

Date & Time: August 10th, 2026. 10:00am to 10:30am.

Location: Kin Park, St Marys, ON. Picnic tables in the gazebo. Free street parking directly beside posted coordinates or at the nearby parking lot across the stream.

What to Bring: Feel free to bring a beverage or food for yourself or to share with others. Make sure to dress for the weather as this as an outdoor event.

What is the SideTracked Series

SideTracked is a geocaching series based around railway locations. It includes caches at or near railway stations, former stations, heritage railways, funiculars, and miniature railways. The idea behind the series is to encourage geocachers to visit places connected with railway history and modern rail travel, while keeping the main focus on the station or railway stop itself rather than the wider railway network.

The SideTracked Series was created by Geocachers, but is not officially associated with HQ. There are currently over 3300 active caches in the series. There is no souvenir for attending this event. The event does count towards your SideTracked statistics, and there is an annual profile badge created by the SideTracked team.
