Let's celebrate International Geocaching Day with some fun & games!
Join us in the Hilliard Room of the Columbus Metropolitan Library Hillard Branch from 9am-12pm!
This event will function differently from previous game days. At the beginning (or prior to) this event, each attendee will fill out a questionaire about their geocaching history and receive an envelope with a description of today's activities.
We will play 4 different games. The games are intended to be group games, with a twist. One person in attendance will be The Mole! Your envelope will tell you if you're The Mole or not.
What is The Mole you ask? The Mole is playing with an ulterior motive and benefits from the group failing. Their job is to subtly sabotage the group's efforts enough to prevent them from succeeding, while also going undetected.
For each game, there is bonus geocache associated with it that will publish after the event. If the group succeeds at a game, the group earns a group FTF for that game's bonus cache! However, if the group fails, The Mole gets that FTF all to themselves!
At the conclusion of the 4 games, everyone in attendance will take a quiz asking about The Mole's identity and asked the ultimate question at the end "Who is The Mole?" The player who a) correctly identifies The Mole and b) answers the most questions correctly earns the FTF for the fifth and final bonus cache and a gift card prize! However, if no one correctly identifies The Mole, they get that last FTF and gift card.
(There is no obligation to participate in The Mole part of this event. We will have other games if you wish to play those.)
