De nombreux ruisseaux souterrains coulent dans cette région. Ils jaillissent en de nombreux endroits sous forme de sources, de puits, de fontaines et de lavoirs publics caractéristiques.

L’eau de cette région est réputée pour ses vertus curatives : on y trouve de nombreux bains thermaux et stations thermales, notamment à Vittel, Luxeuil-les-Bains, Bourbonne-les-Bains, Bains-les-Bains et Plombiers-les-Bains.

Le village de Bousseraucourt compte une cinquantaine d’habitants permanents. C’est le village le plus septentrional du département de la Haute-Saône et il est entouré par le département des Vosges.

Many underground streams flow through this area. In many places, these emerge as springs, wells, fountains and characteristic public washhouses.
The water here is renowned for its healing properties: there are many thermal baths and spas in places such as Vittel, Luxeuil-les-Bains, Bourbonne-les-Bains, Bains-les-Bains and Plombiers-les-Bains.

The village of Bousseraucourt has around 50 permanent residents. It is the northernmost village in the Haute-Saône department and is surrounded by the Vosges department.
