Thank you again to all who joined us from near and far - you are the best of the best!

Geocache Description:

Be a Part of Something BIG!

CITO Across the World

Saturday, Sept 19th, 9:00-11:00 am

Rozar Park Trail, Perry GA

Middle Georgia Cachers will be participating in CITO Across the World, a global clean-up event led by local geocachers! Plan now to help us clear the walking trail at Rozar Park!

This is not a typical trash pick-up. We will be walking the length of the trail along Rozar Pond (about 1/3 mile), clearing back any brush that has grown into the pathway. We will need many hands, and many tools! Please bring your clippers, loppers, zigzag saws, hedge trimmers, that sort of thing. Dress for the work we will be doing, and remember your sunscreen and bug protection, as always.

There is work for all activity levels, so please come and help! I will bring water bottles and a snack for everyone!

Rozar is a popular park in Perry, and the trail gets a good bit of use - let's work together to make our geo-world a better place for all to enjoy!

Here is some information about CITO Across the World! I'm so excited that Middle Georgia will be a part of this great effort!

One Day. Many Communities. A World of Difference.

A little over 2 years ago, Texas geocacher georeyna asked a simple question - What could happen if geocachers around Texas came together on one day to make their communities cleaner? Based on that simple question, Texas Geocaching Association (TXGA) created an event named CITO Across Texas in conjunction with World Cleanup Day. The results were tremendous! During 2024 and 2025:

More than 50 CITO events were held across Texas.

More than 700 volunteers participated.

Thousands of pounds of trash were removed from parks, trails, waterways, neighborhoods, and other public spaces.

In 2026, we want to take the next step, and we are inviting the worldwide community of geocachers to help clean up our game board!

See you on Sept 19th in Perry! Clyde
