PLEASE NO SPOILERS OR PHOTOS OF THE CACHE. Please return the cache as found for the enjoyment of other cachers and to avoid it being seen by muggles!



This cache is easily accessible from the road and by car.



The Viper is Englands only native venomous snake!



Keep a look out for snakes 60 to 80 centimetres long with a clear and dark zig zag running down the spine. They have vertical pupils with a distinct red or bronze iris.



Vipers prefer heathlands, moorlands, coastal dunes and sunny woodland edges. You might be in with a chance of spotting one today!



They are very shy and quiet, only likely to bite if accidentally stepped on or picked up…



The nearby pub shares a name with this renowned snake. The site was originally home to two separate cottages which were joined, with lean-to extensions being added at a later date. The change over time can be followed across Ordanance Survey maps from the time, the pub itself started serving punters in 1986.
