Lors de la Révolution française, les citoyens de la commune se réunissent au sein de la société révolutionnaire, baptisée « société populaire » en germinal an II. Durant cette période, la commune porte le nom de Lucian. La terminaison de-Lucian a été ajouté au nom de Saint-Saturnin en 1991.
