[ITA] Umberto Eco (1932 – 2016) fu un grande intellettuale, di quelli che capita a molti di rimpiangere. Passando per questa stradina tranquilla è facile pensare a lui, che con il suo sguardo sembra vegliarci dall'alto. Eco non è stato solo l'autore di Lector in fabula e di mille altri saggi illuminanti e godibilissimi, spesso accessibili anche a un lettore che non abbia fatto studi universitari; scrisse anche qualche racconto per l'infanzia insieme all'amico Eugenio Carmi (1920 – 2016), e questa cache tra panchine e fioriere costellate di sagome di foglie ci fa pensare in particolare a Gli gnomi di Gnù, che è in qualche modo dedicato all'ecologia e a come vediamo il nostro mondo.
Il posto è molto frequentato dai babbani, occhio quando cercate a essere discreti.

[ENG] Umberto Eco (1932–2016) was a great intellectual, the sort of person many of us miss. Walking down this quiet little street, it is easy to think of him, as his gaze seems to watch over us from above. Eco was not only the author of Lector in fabula and a thousand other enlightening and delightful essays, often accessibles and understandables even to readers without a university education; he also published a few children’s stories together with his friend Eugenio Carmi (1920 – 2016). This geocache nestled amongst benches and hanging planters dotted with leaf-shaped silhouettes, brings to mind in particular The Gnomes of Gnu, which is, in a way, dedicated to ecology and how we perceive our world.
The place is very popular with muggles, so be careful to keep a low profile.
