MEET THE LOCALS

We’ll meet outdoors at the former Rautenkranz station. Today a steampunk „Weltraumbahnhof“ (a pension and bistro in the 1875 station building), with historic railway wagons on the tracks. Right across the street is the German Space Exhibition. Rautenkranz is the birthplace of Sigmund Jähn, the first German in space. Come join us, swap travel bugs and chat about caching in the region. We’ll sit outside by the wagons; if you like, pop into the bistro for a coffee (they even do k.u.k. coffeehouse specialties).
