Wally is inviting you to join us again to celebrate Wombat Day 2026! After all the wombat is a distant cousin of our haggis! We'll meet in the Inverness Botanic Gardens to chat about all things geocaching and raise our tea and coffee mugs to the wombat. Bring your trackables for exchanging or discovering. If you are new to geocaching, come and ask us about our crazy hobby. Maybe you can get a few clues for those tricky puzzles too.

Entry to the gardens is free, but you can leave a donation if you wish. There is plenty to see in the gardens, although they close early in the autumn so you might want to have a look around before the event. Parking is available close by and was free last time we visited. The signs by the machines "invite" you to pay, but it is voluntary. The cafe in the gardens has a small selection of sandwiches, soup and cake, as well as hot and cold drinks.
