Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to our ninth annual Halloween Geocaching event! Through massive peak turnouts, award wins, weather scrambles, and nine years of changing calendars, this community has continuously kept the Halloween tradition alive in our local area since 2017. To celebrate this milestone on a Saturday night, we are returning to our most successful evening picnic format under the stars with something fun for absolutely everyone!

- ⏰ Time: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- 📍 Where: Willcocks Avenue Reserve, Seaton, SA, 5023
- 🎯 Who: Everyone of all ages, experience levels, families, and friendly four-legged companions are welcome!
We know from our favorite years that the best part of this tradition is simply catching up, sharing stories of our caching exploits, and enjoying a relaxed evening together. This year, our classic line-up of activities is completely tailored to how our community naturally loves to play:
👻 Our 2026 Ghostly Lineup:
- 6:00 PM (Event Commences): Find us near the picnic tables. The official logbook will be open for signing and the trackable swap table will be active.
- 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM (The Communal Pumpkin Zone — Great for Little Kids!): To keep the little ones happily occupied while the adults socialise, we are providing one giant communal pumpkin! Little kids and parents are welcome to drift over throughout the evening to collectively carve and decorate it. It will be photographed and left behind to haunt the park!
- 6:45 PM (The North vs. South Showdown — Big Kids / Big Kids At Heart!): The legendary Tug-of-War rope is officially back! Dust off your sneakers because it's time for the grown-ups to settle the score in our classic, fierce holiday rivalry.
- 7:15 PM (Spooky Costume Contest — Everyone!): Wear your best Halloween outfit (optional) for our casual costume display on the court. The kids always dress to impress, and we'll have quick prizes up for grabs!
- 7:30 PM (Neighbourhood Trick-or-Treat — Families): Interest, daylight, and weather pending, families can head out for a localized trick-or-treat walk along Willcocks Avenue. We will be keeping within view and close proximity of the reserve so the park hub stays active and social.
- 7:50 PM (Annual Twilight Group Photo): We will gather on the basketball court to capture our signature group photo right as the sun sets over the reserve.
- 8:00 PM: Official event concludes.
🍕 Food, Chairs & Snacks:
We will be providing light refreshments, a few spare seats, and some fun-size treats to keep the holiday spirit rolling. You are highly encouraged to bring along a comfy chair, a picnic blanket, and some snacks, nibbles, or a plate of food to share with the crew if you wish!
🐾 Location Highlights:
Willcocks Avenue Reserve features a fantastic playground, picnic table seating, and a basketball court. Public toilets are available a short 10-minute walk away at the Shell Service Station on Tapleys Hill Road.
Please note: While staying and socializing is highly encouraged, claiming your event smiley does not require you to stay for the entire duration or participate in any activities. Just drop by, sign the book, and say hello!
