This isn’t the average meet – it will be slightly different to that which has gone before…
When I first started geocaching I saw there were loads of caches which had “?” as the icon. These were (and still are) puzzle caches… you have to solve a puzzle to find out where the cache is.
Some of them were easily solved.
Some of them are still a mystery to me fourteen years later.

Puzzle Clubs have been a thing in other parts of the country for years. There’s been talk of getting together to have on in Kent for some time… so here we go.
The plan is NOT to give away final co-ordinates.
The idea is that we will get together. Those who’ve solved puzzles might like to give hints and guidance about how certain puzzles might be solved. We might all strain our brains on puzzles that have defeated all of us.
The focus is on HOW to solve puzzles.
In the spirit of this I will be explaining (to anyone who is interested) how you might have solved some of my now-archived puzzles:
Maelstrom #3 https://coord.info/GC497ZG
The Two Dogs https://coord.info/GC4BDBK
Treacle’s Treasure https://coord.info/GC9TKPM
Strigiform https://coord.info/GCAPPHC
I’m hoping to cajole one or two other people to bring along copies of their now-archived puzzles to also give some pointers

So… what do you need to bring along?
Some puzzles you are stuck with.
Some of your own puzzles you are happy to explain.
A lap-top, mobile phone or some way of calling up geocache data
If you are reading this in horror and don’t want your caches discussed, I understand entirely. Just drop me a line to let me know.

Our venue is a new one to Kent Geocaching. It’s
The New Chimneys
Louden Way
Ashford
TN23 3JJ
As you walk through the door we will be in the area over to the right. If you are at all unsure just ping me a message when you arrive and I’ll find you.
The landlord has asked that we don’t bring our own food and drink but get that from the bar. If you fancy eating there (I have and the food’s rather good) you can arrange that on the evening.
Sadly there’s no dogs allowed in our area.
See you all there...
