The cache is just off the Coyote Call Trail. This trail is one of only two on the Valles Caldera National Preserve that is open to hikers without fee and without the need for a reservation.
Park at the Coyote Call Trailhead. N35° 50.887’, W106° 27.915. The trail is a loop (see the map in the box at the trailhead). Stay on the trail until the top of the loop. Elevation change is about 475 feet. Total hiking distance is less than 3 miles.
