Geocache Description:

3rd Annual MGA Geo-BBQ and Awards

Location and Time: Lewis Lake Provincial Park, Hubley NS
September 17th, 12:00 Noon

It's a bring your own B.B.Q. and chair. It's not a pot luck but if you make the best potato salad or chili in the land and want to show it off don't let that stop you!

There will be a Geo-6/49 to do so bring a regular cache trading item or a new 60cs or anything in-between to put into the prize bags!

And bring the kids! GeoBear the Lost Care Bear will be there again as well as GeoBingo!

GeoBear is a large cache container that will be hidden for the younger cachers to find. Bringing something to place in it would be appreciated.

This is a rain or shine event!

FRS Radios will be in use on the official Geocaching channel 2. Also if you would like my cell phone number, e-mail me as I will have that there also.

Please log a note letting us know if you can make it or not. If you want to bring something for the BBQ for everyone let us know in your log.

The Maritime Geocaching Association's Annual Geocaching Awards will be presented during the event.

Awards discussed on the forum will be presented at this time. Remember to nominate and vote for your favorite caches!

DIRECTIONS

From Halifax - Take exit 4 from the 103 highway and turn left on route 3. Follow route 3 until you round a sharp turn by a lake and pass a forest fire index sign then watch for signs. The park will be on the right.

From Truro and points north - Follow highway 102 south, making sure to go to follow the signs to Halifax. Take exit 3 on to route 213 going to Hammonds Plains. Follow route 213 until after you pass Tantallon and highway 103 you will come to a set of lights, turn left onto route 3. Watch for signs the park will be on the left

From the South shore - Take exit 5 from Hwy 103 and turn right onto route 213. Follow route 213 until you come to a set of lights, turn left onto route 3. Watch for signs the park will be on the left

ACCOMODATION

Well for those who are coming from out of town, or those who want the good times to continue thru the night we have landed a great deal with a campground nearby.

Only about 5km away from the event is a Campground called Juniper Park.

LOGISTICS

At islander1988 cache A Quick Exit #5 (NSHW103) there is Sobey's, gas stations, Dollar store, liquor store and restaurants. Where route 213 and 3 meet there is Superstore.

FINAL UPDATE
