Lista er ei halvøy i sørvestlige Vest Agder, og ligger mellom Listaforden i vest og Lyngdalsfjorden i øst. Landforbindelsen er ved Listeid. Ytre del av halvøya er lavland, med det karakteristiske Lista-landskapet, med tett bebyggelse og mye jordbruk. Bakenfor er det sterkt kupert hei-landskap. Lista har vært del av Farsund kommune siden 1965. Det finnes ca 3 mil merkede turstier i Farsund, både langs kysten og i mer kupert turterreng. FRAMVAREN Veien forbi Farsund havnebasseng fører inn til Kjørrefjorden og Helvik. Kanalen ved Strømmen bro danner passasjen mellom Helvikfjorden og Framvaren. Framvaren er en terskelfjord, med forhold som er enestående i verdenssammenheng. Under 15 meters (49 FEET) dyp er vannet oksygenfritt med en konsentrasjon av H2S (hydrogensulfid, en meget giftig gass, lukter som råtne egg og dannes ved nedbryting av svovelholdig, organisk materiale.) i bunnvannet som er 20 ganger høyere enn det man finner i Svartehavet. Prosessene som foregår i bunnlagene tilsvarer de samme som i sin tid dannet oljen i Nordsjøen. Ved Listeid har man videreført tradisjonen med båttrekk over til Sigersvold for å unngå den værharde kysten utenfor Lista. Trekket er traktorbasert, og det tar ca 15 minutter å frakte båten over land. Opprinnelig innhold: Såpebobler, flaskeåpner m/lyd, lommelykt, dusjhette, 5 kjøleskapsmagneter, 3 poselukkere, make-up, juggel-ring, selvlysende insekt, diverse mynter (1 euro, 25 pesetas, 1 quarterdollar, 50 tyske pfennig, 1 islandsk krone, 1 dansk krone, 1 svensk krone, 1 engelsk penny), engangskamera, loggbok, blyant, blyantspisser, info og FTFC. Lista is a peninsula located in south-west of Vest Agder County, and lies between The Listafjord in west and The Lyngdalsfjord in east. The peninsula is connected with the mainland at Listeid. The outer part of the peninsula is lowland with the characteristic Lista-landscape, with much houses and a lot of farming. Rearward it’s strongly rolling hill landscape. Lista has been a part of Farsund commune since 1965. There’s approximately 18,64 miles ( 30 kilometres) of traced wander paths in Farsund, both in the coast-area and in the hill landscape. FRAMVAREN The road passing Farsund harbour leads to The Kjørrefjord and Helvik. The canal underneath Strømmen Bridge is the passage between The Helvikfjord and Framvaren. Framvaren is a terscelfjord which’s unique in the world of marine conditions. Below 49 feet (15 meters) is the water totally free of oxygen, and there’s a concentration of H2S (hydrogen-sulphur) witch is 20 times stronger than in the Black-ocean. (Hydrogen-sulphur is a very poisoning gas who smells like rotten eggs, and it’s caused by disruption of organic material.) The process which’s going on at the bottom is exacts the same process that made the oil in the North Sea. At Listeid there’s an old tradition for the private boats to avoid the rough sea outside of Lista, and they pulls the boats by land to Sigersvold. They use a tractor to pull the boats, and the trip takes approximately 15 minutes.
