Dry Run Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

WindChill: Thanks to everyone who came out. The event didnt go quite the way I planned, but I think everyone had fun anyhow. It looks like it will be a couple of weeks before things dry enough to retrieve the caches :(

It looks like everyone has logged the event. Dont forget to grab your bugs/coins back.

Geocache Description:

The purpose of this event is to "practice" a couple of the activities that will be available at upcoming Iowa Geocachers Org events.  There might even be a prize or two....   Participants will take part in two activities:

Geocaching Competition
This will be held "orienteering style" where participants start the course at a fixed interval (probably 2-3 minutes apart) and work against the clock to locate as many of the designated caches as possible in the alloted time.

GeoBingo
You'll just have to come to the event to see how we've adapted this to geocaching.

Event check-in will begin at 9:30.
Activities will begin at 10:00 and run for approximately 2 hours.
Social time and discussion about improvements will follow.
