The ruins of Hynd Castle stand completely hidden on a rounded mound (apparently artificial), close by the Dundee-Brechin road.
The remains comprise an area 12 feet square with walls 10 feet high, and 5 feet thick. A doorway exists on one side, and a window on each of the other three sides.
The Castle had at one time been surrounded by water and a morass.
GPS readings WILL be hard to get due to the trees, so the clue should help you find the cache.
To access the castle - follow the edges of the field and continue on to the back of the mound - there is a large enough gap in the fence to access the area Parking on the verge beside the "Dead bridge" Please dont block the field entrance.
