ODS - 'Twas a Wetland Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

plewdawg: To paraphrase an oldie:
"They took all the trees, and put em in a tree museum
And they charged the people a dollar and a half to see them
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got till it's gone
They paved paradise, and put up a parking lot"
I don't know what is going in at this location but everything has been razed, even my geocache. [:(].
All we can do now is remember.

Visit (visit link)
This area is a little oasis in and area that is rapidly becoming developed. Several years ago it was home to cattails, willows, canary reed grass and lots of bird life. Then came a street project and part of the area became a staging ground for the equipment and a large amount of the wetlands were covered. Some still remain even though in the summer months there is little or no surface water. Looking at the large willow reminds people that there is ground water very close.
There is currently a lot of discussion about a big-box store going in at the site but that is pending. Enjoy the area. There are still lots of quail in the area as well as other bird life.
Location could benefit with some CITO.
Park and approach from the east.
Nice bonus for the FTF!
