We Can Take it!
The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) NOT THE WPA was a public works program that put over three million young men and adults to work during the Great Depression of the 1930's and 1940's in the United States. The CCC restored 3,980 historical structures, and developed over 800 state parks and help create our National Park System as we know it today. There were over 4,500 CCC camps and in every state including Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
