How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Since this is the first cache hidden by the Jack Pack, we thought it would be appropriate for the two namesakes of the group to pick the location. We asked Jackie and Joey (our two Jack Russell Terriers) where to hide it and they suggested their absolute favorite hangout in Thousand Oaks.

This is a nice simple cache that should take less then 20 minutes round trip including searching for the actual cache. The items are stored in a small ammo box. As this area gets lots of usage, the ammo box has been hidden from non-geocachers. For anybody that can pinpoint the coordinates though, the location is fairly obvious. Please try and place the box back how you found it to avoid accidental discovery by non-cachers.

If you have a dog, any kind of dog, this is a must do cache. If you're the first one to the cache you'll even find a delicious rawhide bone treat for your pet. Who knows, you might even run into Jackie and Joey while you're there!
