Geocache Description:

A short hike. Mostly easy trail.

We placed this cache to coincide with a La Canada Trail Day Family Hike (Saturday 14 June 2003, 8:30 - 11:30 am) on the the Gould Canyon Trail.

If you approach from the south, there's a slight upward incline. If you approach from the north, the trail is a downward single track with some steepish parts.

This cache is smaller than a regular cache but larger than a micro. You'll probably have more luck finding it if you search as if you were looking for a micro.

The location is very open, so be careful not to be spotted once you've found the cache.

If you have some time, this trail goes north under the Angeles Crest Highway and joins up with the Cross Town Trail via Harter Lane. From there, you can continue up to Mt. Lukens. Or you can go east down to the Arroyo Seco or southwest to Cherry Canyon.
