Geocache Description:




Located well off the beaten path on SGL 51 is a massive rock outcropping known as "Wow" Rocks.

It is somewhat of a hike and bushwack to reach this outcropping but maybe you will say "Wow" when you see it for yourself.

You will be atop this outcropping as you approach the cache area.

It may not look like much at first but you will be surprised to see what is further on out over the edge.

Take some time and explore from both atop and below.

There are a vast number of hallways thru the rocks and a number of interesting features to be seen as these rocks extend for quite a ways on both sides of the cache area.

There is a short narrow hallway that will take you to the cache area.

Be extra careful and watch your footing.

* DIRECTIONS *
From Greenbrier Rd. just outside of the Deer Lake area take the first SGL road to the left just as you enter the Gamelands. Recommended parking area can be found on up this road a short ways where the pipeline crosses. (There is another parking area at a food plot area approx. .3 mile on up the road from the pipeline for those that have higher clearence vehicles. But from there on out the road gets alot worse so I do not recommend going any further than here.) Hike this SGL road on out past the Hunting Club area to a point on the SGL road where your GPS tells you need to start your bushwack down thru the woods. From here follow your GPS on down to the outcropping.

There are two challenging and rewarding caches in the nearby area located within the SGL on up Greenbrier Rd. So why not grab your GPSrs and maps and head on up to the Mountains. I'm sure you will have a great day of caching and a day to remember.
