Geocache Description:

Recently, we took a trip to the New Orleans area for some sight-seeing and some caching! While there, we saw some amazing things, met some great people, ate lots of fantastic food (many a muffuletta), and found our 1000th cache!

In recognition of our 1000th find and a great trip, we decided to place this series of caches. They range in both terrain and difficulty; and we hope you have fun with them.

One person from the New Orleans area we would like to acknowledge is Bamboozle. He is a geocaching legend with over 5500 finds and 375 hides! Included among the hides is a 140 cache power trail along Old Highway 51 (a record-breaking 7 hour adventure for us!) called the "Hang'm High on Hwy. 51" series (GC20GR1) and "View Carre" (GCE02C); an amazing interactive experience that has been "found" over 1300 times! We had the pleasure of meeting him during "View Carre", and he provided us with an unforgettable view and lots of interesting historical information. This series is in honor of him!

This series starts at a parking area for the North County Trailway off of Route 118 in Yorktown and continues around the Quarry Ridge trail in the Kitchawan Preserve.

3 out of the 5 caches require TWEEZERS!

Muffuletta Mania #1 is a micro. We'll leave it at that!
