Geocache Description:

Located in Dickcissel Park between Ames & Boone. This park seems to only be used by fishermen. There are many types of wildlife who call this area home. We flushed out several pheasants on our walk around the lake & found lots of deer beds.

We picked this area to place one cache but when we got here, we had an ammo can & this particular location wouldn't hold an ammo can. We found another spot but decided to come back with a smaller container for this hide. We're hoping since there are 2 caches here, people will be more likely to make the trip out here.

Rated this a 3 terrain because there is no official trail. There is a path that's been worn by fisherman and/or wildlife. The path gets VERY close to the water in most areas & it gets wet & muddy in some spots. NOT recommended for small children or hunting in the dark.
